Each hand, head, and footprint was captured on a graffiti prepped black base, representing either the floor of a club or the asphalt street and the so called street-dances. The break-dancer did head spins on the canvas as part of the performance, while his feet would get dipped into luminous tempera paint. The magic of dance and movement deriving from the purest form of life quality is captured and immortalized in each artwork and a reminder to the viewer. Ideally the viewer’s perception is drawn in by the dynamics, colors and movement of the spinning break-dancer. These contact sheets were created by capturing the footage of our dancer’s steps and movements on canvas, all through a camera attached to a crane. The award-winning photography shows living creations with movement, where each frame portrays the lifecycle of the artwork collection. In one frame, you will see the dancer circling freely with her flowing skirt around the canvas, and in another, she is small and almost not to spot. This detail draws the viewer immediately into the art and captures their attention. The contrast between the canvas’ vibrant colors and the dancer’s movement results in incredible designs patterns, as well as dramatic and stunning visuals. In these artworks, we want to maximize the art of photography in its raw form with the help of minimalism.
