Ballet: Swan Lake

A unique artwork full of contrasts between vibrant base colors and delicate footsteps

The original artwork from the epic ballet Swan Lake is one of the most popular of all classical ballets. Ballet comes from the Italian word “Balletto” meaning little dance, originated in Italy during the 15th and 16th centuries, called the Renaissance (corresponding to Rinascimento in Italian, meaning “rebirth”), as a combination of social dance and choreographed display.

Process

Adriana Garza Coeto, our ballerina, performed live in the UK, becoming a human brush in a captivating artwork. Her expressive movements, captured on camera, created delicate footprints on a blue canvas representing Swan Lake. Feathers added a unique touch, resulting in a vibrant composition resembling masterpieces by Yves Klein and Jackson Pollock. This artwork immortalizes the magic of dance and reminds us of life’s simple joys.
